Is Othm level 7 equivalent to a degree?

No, the OTHM Level 7 Diploma is not equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. It sits at RQF Level 7, which corresponds to master’s level study, significantly above the Level 6 bachelor’s degree. This qualification provides the final 120 credits required for a full master’s degree, allowing eligible graduates to complete an MBA top-up at partner universities. It is designed for experienced managers seeking strategic leadership credentials, not undergraduate entry. The distinction is critical: Level 7 demands advanced critical analysis, strategic direction, and governance understanding, whereas a degree focuses on foundational knowledge. Confusing the two misrepresents the academic rigour and career positioning of the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Online – MBA Top-Up Route (120 Credits).
