is equal to 10 hours of TQT?
No, the qualification is not equal to 10 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT). As an Ofqual-regulated Level 7 award worth 120 credits, it carries a mandatory TQT of 1,200 hours. This figure encompasses guided learning, independent study, and assessment preparation. The 10-hour figure likely confuses specific unit guidance hours with the total programme load. Each of the six units typically requires approximately 200 hours of engagement. For working managers, this translates to a significant commitment, structured across six to twelve months. Understanding this volume is critical for realistic scheduling. The 1,200-hour TQT ensures the qualification meets master’s-level standards, distinguishing it from shorter executive certificates. It validates the depth of strategic analysis and leadership capability expected at this tier.
