is an instrument designed to indicate whether a surface is horizontal (level) or vertical?

No. The Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Online – MBA Top-Up Route (120 Credits) is a master’s-level academic qualification, not a physical tool. It is regulated by Ofqual (qualification number 603/2181/7) and awarded by OTHM. The diploma focuses on strategic direction, organisational capability, and governance, preparing managers for an MBA top-up. The instrument you describe is a spirit level or plumb line, used in construction and engineering to determine horizontal or vertical alignment. This confusion likely stems from the word "level" in the qualification title, which refers to the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 7, indicating master’s degree standard, not physical measurement.
