are equivalent to Masters Q) diplomas are taught courses at level 7 on the Regulated?
No, Level 7 diplomas are not taught master’s degrees. They sit at the same academic level on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) but differ in structure. A master’s degree is a taught university programme with a dissertation. The OTHM Level 7 Diploma is a vocational qualification focusing on strategic management and leadership skills. It is Ofqual regulated and recognised as equivalent to the first year of a master’s degree. This allows graduates to progress to an MBA top-up at a partner university to complete their master’s. The diploma itself is not a full master’s award.
